...still alive? I just got my betta fish mojo yesterday. At night I noticed that his water turned yellow so I cleaned it and pit fresh water in it; and conditioned it again. This morning I woke up and he was hardly moving( but alive) and his super bright red color had faded, and he was laying near the bottom. I repeated my steps from the previous night but I still don't know what to do, and I don't know what happened! We seem to think it may be the rocks that I bought from Ben franklins. So I took those out. He starting to swim but I'm still worried.

make sure the water is 76+ degrees and make sure the water is clorine free get something about the same size that you can fill with water and let it sit all day of 8 hours that will for sure get the chorine out. make sure he has lite and if none of that has hapened i dont know what to telll you sorry

i had fish and if it either stays still at the bottom or floats trying to get oxygen, then i assume it will die soon - and that was what happened to my fish.

and yes, keep in mind that fish are not used to 'fresh' water - are they really fresh? general tap water is not good because certain minerals are in it

a good way - fill a tank of tap water and place it beside the fish tank. then change the water next day so that the tap water has already become the same condition as the current fish tank

Is the tank cycled? do you have a filter running and a heater? Make sure you have all that and no ammonia or nitrite in the tank and give him another couple of days.
