patio every two years I am havi I am having to have slabs up and relaid this time It was too much when out side my back door I had roots with cherry tree leaves on so is there any thing I can do to enforce her to pay the bill I have just recieved

I should seek legal advice first as the other person said, but if the tree ( or part of it ) is on your side of the fence then I am pretty sure you can cut the part on your property that would include the routs, put some product on them to kill them,,, my mum had this trouble some years ago, so we cut the tree on our side off the fence and it looked silly so eventually it was removed

if you are having to redo your patio every 2 years imo its not being done properly, i would of thought anyone worth their salt would of installed a root barrier on the boundary of your property, as for getting the neighbour to pay for you patio personally i dont fancy your chances, you would need to consult with a arb (tree) officer to see what the councils stance is on invasive root systems.even if the neighbour cut all the trees down and removed the stumps you will still have the same issues with this "sucker" growth. coming from the root system on your side,

have a word with the council........
