My neighbor lets my outdoor cat into her house even after I've asked her not

to. What can I do besides asking? This has been a major inconveniece. I've spent countless hours looking for him only to find he is in her house. I've been late for work & not slept well at night. He is taken care of very well, he just likes to he outside most of the time. He's not a nuisance. All the neighbors love him. He got in a habit of going over there, so he'll walk right in if she lets him. I caught her in the act this morning and then she tried to sneak him out her back door. Is there any kind of legal action I can take? This is rediculous! This has been going on for months and I'm out of patience and I don't know what to do! Please advise!
 
what is the big deal....if the cat is not out side u know he's over ur neighbor house
why is it a major problem? she not doing any thing to him is she?
 
wat you should do is when you dont have work and you let your cat out, watch him and when you see him coming back go outside and convenes him to go to u and when u have work and you let him out after like 20 min. call him in and if this does not work you should have a talk with you neighbor.
 
Your neighbor isn't being mean to you on purpose......she feels sorry for your cat, being outside. She KNOWS that an outside cat is more likely to be harmed / killed, than one who has a loving INSIDE life!

Your cat would be perfectly happy INSIDE your home, if he had the attention that your neighbor gives him....from you! Since you work all day, and don't seem to have much time for him........why don't you GIVE the cat to your neighbor? It's clear that he'd have a good home there, and he ALREADY loves it there. Give him to her, and get yourself an INDOOR pet!

Hope this doesn't upset you more, but it makes the most sense to me.

I definilty suggest keeping her in YOUR house!!! The neighbr probally feeds her!!!! cats LOVE food!!!! so keep her in.....plus cats have a higher risk of catching feline luekemia and feline aids outdoors too.......plus they will bring more fleas in. you and your cat are safer....plus you dont want the cat to get hit by a car or mauled by dogs...ive the seen the 1st countless times and the 2nd happened to me and a family friend.
 
Tell her again and be firm. I had a neighbor once who actually locked my cat in her house because she didn't like the way I was taking care of it (trust me, the cat was extremely well-cared for - she was just nuts). When she wouldn't answer the door, I called the police. She never touched my cat again. By that point, I was tired of talking nicely to her (which I had several times) and didn't care about neighbor relations anymore. It is the nuclear option but if she won't listen to you and respect your wishes, a visit from police with a claim that she is stealing your cat will stop it.
 
you can actually put a chip in the cat at the vet,register the cat as living in with you and being your cat,put a collar with a tag on your cat catch this person in the act again ,maybe take a picture,and take her to small claims court,just to keep her from this silliness.By the way,she may just be worried that the cat will get hit by a car or something,it could be done totally out of love for animals,I love them that much myself!
