My mum is having post menopausal bleeding a year after she finished the menopause?

I am very worried about my mum. She is 56 years old and is bleeding a year after the menopause.

She went to the doctor and she is arranging an urgent scan within 2 weeks.

She leads a stressful life and is a full time carer to my sister.

How often is this diagnosed as cancer?

Obviously she can't be diagnosed on here but I am just asking how often is a problem like this often serious?

I am very worried.
