my motorola SLVR creeps me out..

At random intervals, my SLVR will wake itself up from low power mode. The screen turns on at full brightness and seemingly, nothing else happens. Is there some keep alive signal that the cell towers send out? If there is, why would it need to turn on the display?

I'm sure it's something simple, but it also makes me kind of paranoid.

Does this happen to any other SLVR owners??

it happens to my slvr all of the time. i think it happens when there is a change in signal or something, but i could be wrong. its nothing to worry about though.
 
i don't have a slvr... but i'm pretty sure most cell phones are possessed. the demons are causing me to feel phantom vibrations when i'm not even wearing my holster, and i swear the light on my nokia flashes about 3 times as often when i'm not looking at it as when i am looking directly at it.

don't even start me on blackberry withdrawls....
 
I've had that vibration sensation too, it's a proven phenomenon... really strange.

lol.. my sister tells me to stay away from the "crackberries", they are supposed to be quite addictive!
 
This happens to most phone's. It also happens on V3c's, V3m's, V3's, Q's and other Moto's i have. I should ask all of you to see if you have a Screensaver set. Your phone will come out of low power (Black screen.) to go to its screensaver but if you don't have one set or have it set to "None" it will simply display your home screen, Like if you were to press a button which had no action set. (Such as a programmable side key.)
