My mother wants me to dance?!?

Next week my cousin is going to celebrate her birthday so my mom and me were invited to her party.She is older than me and all her friends are people I don't know.There are also going to be some relatives but I am not very fond of them.Because of this I am sure I won't have a good time.I tried to reject the invitation but my family wants me to go and it won't be good if I don't obey.:(
I usually don't dance at parties because I'm sooo introvert and I don't want to dance at my cousin's party either.That's what I want =__=.But my mom says I'm antisocial and retarded because I don't socialize and she wants me to dance with those bigger boys and act like I'm having fun.She even threatened me (hmm,not that way).
How can I make her understand I don't want to dance and act stupid there?We have discussed so many times about this but she doesn't seem to get it.
 
Hm, hard question. I have always been an antisocial person myself, so I know where your coming from. Sorry but I don't have any advice on how to get out of the party. However, my suggestion is to maybe get involved in something you like(a book club, an art class, or maybe some sort of sport) whatever interest you. I know interacting with people may seem like so much work, cause believe me it is for me, but at least it might get your mom to lay off you a bit if she sees you making an effort. And trust me, being social isn't as bad once you find people who have the same interest as you. Hope this helps:)
