My mother is thinking of opening a restaurant...?

My mother was thinking of retiring a year early and opening up a restaurant. I do believe she has the know how to keep an operation like that running, it's just getting started that she's having the problems with. She's trying to get information as far as what licenses to obtain, permits...ect..If you can give her any suggestions and or guidance it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that if you go to your local city hall they will be able to give you all the information you need to get started. She could also talk to other local resturant owners and see if they have any good tips or information to offer.
