My husband and I eloped 3 yrs ago because my fam is on the west coast and all his are on the east. My mother in law acted so happy for us then went & told his fam how pissed she was. 2 of them ended up telling me about it. Obviously she has never let it go. Around my hubby she is super nice to me but when its just me and her shes very rude. My husband doesnt see it and takes her side all the time, we constantly fight over it and I feel like its ruining our marriage. I had my husband talk to her about it (which he should have a long time ago since it is HIS mom)...which didn't help anything. Now other people in his family are not talking to me anymore. We moved here to FL when he got out of the military last year so we could be with his family. I left everything I had on the west coast for him. I'm to the point where I don't want anything else to do with her. I've tried way too many times and nothing works. My family could see how she was when they met her. What should I do? Help!!!
I understand that that is a huge deal but it has been 3 freakin years....its about time she gets over it. I think she is being really immature.
Not only that but she eloped with the guy she is married to now LOL so she has no room to talk. We were 21 and in the military, there was no way we could afford 2 weddings.
