I'm a 14 year old girl and got into anime while at summer camp. Both my parents are Asian and know some old anime like Dragonball. I started drawing anime on my own a month ago and my mom found my drawings today. She was like, "you did this?" and was very disapproving. Something about the way she acted made me feel really embarrassed; or maybe it was just because I put my heart into each drawing and they were private for me. My friends all thought my drawings were "good" and told me to keep drawing/buy a graphics tablet (though they aren't that good).
My mom told me to stop. My brother laughed/made fun of me, and my dad didn't really care. Anime drawing is very precious to me for some reason, and I know I sound stupid but that's how I feel; I even have ideas for a manga. My mother will not budge. Should I stop drawing or do it secretly?
