my mom thinks she can get custody of my daughter. she is a joke!?

my mother has no job, she hasn't finished her high school education. she refuses to get a job or get her ged. she thinks that she can move in with her friend that lives in a pigpen for a house with my daughter. that the spot she will live is in the living room sharing this space with my daughter. meanwhile i have a job a car and my high school education. i give my child everything that she needs and i live here so i spend almost every single day with my baby. i dont do any drugs and i even quit smoking for my baby. my mother is simply angry because she wants to get paid for babysitting my daughter and i refuse because it is ridiculous to me for a grandparent to get paid to take care of their own granddaughter. if i have to i will put her in a daycare and will pay someone else who will atleast listen to what i say and not do things behind my back with my daughter. so now the question is in which i doubt, can she try for custody or simply get a laugh in her face for being old fashioned?
