Ok so I'm 14 years old and I'm VERY skinny. I'm only like 90 pounds and my mom never cooks. She buys food once a month and never buys that much. For breakfast, she'll buy one box of cereal and that'll be gone within a week and there's nothing to eat for breakfast.

As for lunch, I can't remember a day in my life where my mom made me lunch.

And as for dinner, my mom will cook a meal maybe 3 or 4 days a week if I'm lucky. She usually goes out all the time leaving me and my 2 brothers to starve.

She is a single mother who is always stressed out and yells a lot so maybe thats why, but I'm starving and I want to get to at least 100 pounds before my freshman year. What foods can I make?

I can't ask her to cook more because she always says I won't eat it. I usually do eat her dinners unless it's something nasty but I used to never eat and she always brings up the past.

What is easy stuff to make? I know well enough of PB and J but what else is there. I'm tired of Mac N Cheese as well.

PLEASE HELP!!!

At wal-mart they sell these things made by lipton, should be by the macaroni and cheese. They are like different kinds of noodles and you just need a little water and milk to make them with.
You can buy rice ones too... they make like spanish, alfredo, three cheese, parmasean. they are all really good.

also... like, spaghetti in a can, stuff like that is really easy to make. you can just open it, throw it in a bowl and heat in the microwave or throw it in a pan and heat it on medium and stir occasionally... all these things will tell you how to make them. make sure you get some fresh fruits...
eating produce is actually pretty cheap and will keep you healthy
sorry to hear about that... is your mom having a hard time with money? mybe not because yous aid she goes out a lot.... well if she is having a hard time with money you should ask her to apply for food stamps (free $ on a card for food). if not you should ask her to let you do the shopping and give you what you are allowed to spend
and you can take up the responsibility. tell her you can get what you liek that way, or hve her go with you to do it and she can just walk with you and watch. ask her for that.
also: you should get some eggs every once in a while to have instead of cereal all the time.

goodluck kid.

Making rice is easy. Just take a big microwavable bowl and put a cup of water and a cup of rice in it, cover it slightly, place it in the microwave, set it for 10 minutes and 50% power, and let it cook. Get some frozen mixed vegetables and microwave those up for a few minutes on full power, too.

You can eat Top Ramen, too, which is rather cheap but easy. Put two cups of water in a big microwavable bowl with a couple of cups of frozen mixed vegetables. Heat on full power for about 7 minutes. Add the flavour packet and noodles, then microwave for 3 more minutes.

You can fry up some meat to put in these meals, too. You could also see about getting on the school free lunch program when you go back to school.

For breakfast you could just make oatmeal and add some raisins to the water that you heat up for it.

That's sad, but everyone who start out broke and depressed end up being a superstar in the end. However, you should make grilled cheese with ham. It's delicious, and it's perfect for dinner, breakfast or lunch. Scramble eggs with bacon and waffles. << Easy to make. Boil your eggs and dip it with salt and pepper<< Good with orange juice and lots of protein, and It will get you bigger. Cook fries, and grill hotdogs.<< Perfect for lunch and it's a great meal after a school or something. I know you're having a tough time, but things will get better. Believe me.

ok you should try spaghetti and meatball just cook some noodles that's easy and cut up some of you favorite veggies and add that to the noodles with some frozen meatball you can buy or you can make homemade meatballs but that is a little harder and more expensive an that's all hope that helps you

Your mom sounds stressed out, lazy and not & feeding you guys right is abuse. Is there a coach or counselor or good friends parent you can talk to about this? If she needs help with food stamps or something they are easy to get for those who qualify and a single mom with 3 boys should quality for a lot of help paying for food if that's the issue.
I have been cooking since I was around 10 making complete meals by the time I was your age. If your making mac & cheese you can obviously cook noodles. A whole chicken (remove the giblets inside) can be dressed up with garlic powder and salt and pepper and cooked in the oven at 350 for about an hour. Throw in a bunch of washed, whole potatoes in the oven next to the chicken and that's a meal in itself when it's done, with leftovers for sandwiches later.
Potatoes are cheap, rice & noodles are cheap. Get some veggies & get some help.

Ask your mom if you could have some money to go grocery shopping and then do it yourself. I started doing my own grocery shopping when I was about thirteen. I know you cannot drive yet, but you could always ride your bike, walk, or use public transportation.

As far as cooking goes, pasta is very simple to make, and equally simple to mess up! Just follow the directions on the box (though I generally subtract a few minutes from the recommended cooking time--I like my pasta al dente [firm]).

Doubt you're a Vegetarian, but MorningStar Farms has awesome items that are easy to cook, delicious, and healthy! They are a bit pricey though.

Eggs are another easy meal. I highly recommend getting 100% liquid egg whites though--One egg has 60% of your daily cholesterol. You can scramble 'em, make 'em into an omelet... Anyway you like 'em!

Salads also a very easy to make! I generally go with the bagged variety and add in my own veggies.

Best of luck!
