My mom was diagnosed with sarcoidosis several years ago. Her sarcoidosis is said to be linked to her arthritis, which developed a couple years ago. She was also diagnosed with COPD over the past summer. Within the past couple of weeks, her diabetes has been somewhat difficult to manage. The other night she had a fever of 102.5. This happened over the weekend, and we thought she had a small bug or something, so my dad and I decided to wait another day. The next day she was completely bed ridden and said she was in alot of pain. I tried to check her blood sugar but she wouldn't let me. Her fever did go down to 101, and it was a Sunday night. My dad and I decided if she didn't show signs of getting better in the morning, we were going to call an ambulance. On monday morning her fever shot up to 105. She was hospitalized. Today I found out she has some kind of blood infection, and the doctors are waiting on a culture. The doctor also wants to check out her gallbladder. She has so many physiological disorders, I'm wondering if anyone knows someone who experienced a combination of illnesses like this and received treatment that worked.
