My mom broke down crying begging me not to join the military?

So did mine. No matter what, your mom dosn't want you to go anywhere. Take care of your mom ! she cares about you. But do what you have to do also. Make mom proud.
 
This kind of stopped me from wanting to join. I do have alternatives (I'm in college) but I want to join and some support from my family would be nice but I'm not getting that.

What do I do?
I'm literally getting no support from anybody but the recruiter who doesn't give 2 sh*ts about me...
 
Do what you feel is right for YOU...not for her. This is your life. You gonna let mommy dictate what you do forever? Moms get emotional, that will never change. It is up to you to prove to your mom that this is the best thing you could do for yourself.
