Im a newbie at audio recording/editing
I'm trying to record myself talking and add in music with it too as a test project. When the music track plays, nice and clear, everything is great with the world. The vocal track is a different story. When the segment of my recorded voice starts to play, there's almost a "thud" where you hear a humming sound and a very high pitched whine. Is there a way to eliminate this? I have seen amateur home recordings where this is not present, how do they get rid of it?
P.S. I'm using garage band with an external microphone
