My mazda protege shuts off after driving for a few minutes?

I have a 96 Mazda Protege, Everything was working fine the other day until I Sprayed the engine down to remove some grime. After that the car ran for a few minutes and had a bad loss of power. Now when I start it, it goes to about 2000 rpm then drops to 1000. It will run with loss of power for a few minutes then stall out and not start, however if I let it set for five or ten minutes it will start again. What could be the problem?
 
kinda sounds like a injector problem when it is running does it run rough if so i would say might be a injector. don't make sense it is doing this after you cleaned though
