My Mazda 626 keeps dying?

The first time this happened was after I washed the motor. I was driving home and it died in the middle of the road. Ever since then I have been trying to figure out what is wrong. Sometimes it won't even start after driving it but mostly it dies while driving it. I thought it might be the fuel pump so I changed that the other day but it is still acting up. I have to figure this out. It is a 1994 Mazda 626. If you can help at all please do!

You may have got water in the distributor cap when you washed the engine. See if the distributor cap is removeable ( the thing where all the spark plug wire's go to) wipe the inside with a dry cloth or spray wd 40 inside.
