My Mazda 3 will not start or even turn over. How can I get it to start?

I just installed an amp in my mazda 3 and as I drove down the street my car totally lost power and stopped. I popped the hood and realized the power cable from the amp was swinging around and probably hit ground for a bit. Any ideas as to why my car won't start or even turn over? I asked a couple of friends and they believe I might have blown a fuse. All fuses are good, but they said it could be a circuit relay. Would this possibly be the problem? If so, how can I tell if a circuit relay is bad? I was also thinking the amp might have drained a lot of power from my battery, but it is an Optima yellow top and should be able to handle it. I'm going to test the battery tomorrow and see if that is the cause.
I had the same system setup in my civic dx and del sol and they have tiny batteries and they worked fine. It's a rockford fosgate 800 watt max amp and sub. It should handle it fine since it's nothing crazy. I will try the circuit tester tomorrow however.
