Anyone else feel the same?
I've heard awesome things about XM and Sirius, such as a quote from the president of Sirius in Rolling Stone saying, when asked if he was worried about what Eminem would use a radio show to do, "Not in any way, shape, or form. He's entitled to say what he wants."
The only thing worth listening to any more is the classic rock station, and they refuse to play requests even one step from the middle of the mainstream(Tangerine by Led Zeppelin, Steppenwolf - The Pusher, The Doors - Soul Kitchen), and I swear they cut one song off their playlist every day. Country is not my thing at all, but I have to listen to it every once in a while at work, and I counted, and during a 5 hour shift, there were two songs that I heard four times each. There was supposed to be an awesome 80s radio station opening up, but I can't get it most of the time on my car radio and the few times I did they have been playing stuff like Eurythmics that already gets played on the "easy listening" stations anyway. The new rock station, well, its new rock, and the rap station has the same affliction as the country one. The "oldies" station has been quite a gem on a few occasions, playing some stuff that really deserves airplay at the classic rock place, but a lot of the time I'm just not feeling the stuff they play (I guess I'm too young). Anyway, I'm sick of this crap.
Charlotte, NC by the way
I think I'm going to invest in an XM or Sirius receiver and subscription one of these days and hope the FCC keeps their dirty hanRAB off it for a while. Anyone had good/bad experiences with satellite they would like to share?
Im just feeling like I don't have enough CRAB and don't know what i want to buy next.
I'm hoping to be enlightened by these beams from space
