My list of "100 things that annoy me about music"!

I think what's missing here is humor. There's stuff to make fun of about every genre of music. Ripping on Emo or Rap or whatever with tongue firmly in cheek and the understanding that there are things that are equally ridiculous in one's own music of choice plays a big part in making the criticisms come off as entertaining instead of antagonistic.
 
I don't know... there's just something about their music that I like. This thread is just a means for me to let loose on my opinions. I don't care what you guys think. It's my opinion.
 
That's really the problem. It's not well-written. The rants come across as extremely generic, your knowledge of the genres you're attacking seems severely lacking ("all the kiRAB in my form think this, so it must be true of that genre") and you're entirely humourless.

Being serious, ill-informed and generic makes for extremely poor reading. That's why you're getting such negative blow-back.

Personally, I love it, but the majority of the indie kiRAB I have met just hate the stuff, saying it's old and boring... when their music is boring after about 5 minutes and is old as soon as the newest copycat indie band put out a carbon copy album under a different name.

If you think that's what rap music is about then that really just proves the point your an ignorant lazy bastard who generalizes like none other. I can only imagine what other generalizations you have made in your screwed up life.

AND ALSO, if you think that it is just button pressing and computer made beats..well again your wrong. There are COUNTLESS artists that use all live instruments. Take the well known Roots for example. There drummer Quest Love is probably better than most mainstream pop drummers out there. Guitarist...? Also ****ing amazing and could hold his own anywhere he went. Lyrics?... yea definitly all about what you said. And that's a well known group you wouldn't even have to get off your lazy ass to know about.
 
No. Not by any means. There are aspects of grunge that annoy me, but that will come in due time. Emo's are just really etching my nerves today.

I'm not sticking to genres either, I used the last two genres as an uraberella term.
 
RHCP aren't really rap, unless you're just talking about going outside your usual in general. But for rap, I'm sure people here could recommend all sorts of albums/artists for you.
 
I did it says you don't care. So I reiterate: why post? To create discussion but not actually participate because you could'nt care less what we think? So it is not a discussion at all is it? Merely a soapbox for one sided views from yourself. You won't get very far in life if you don't listen to any advice or at least accept differing views.

By your reasoning you could call us all a bunch of twats but not care as it's your opinion and that is the only one that matters. If you don't have the skills for debate then you should'nt be on a forum full stop.

I really dislike having to having go at a noob and I actively encourage discussion but if all you are going to do is post badly written, stereotypical rants about other peoples music tastes then you won't make many frienRAB on here I'm afraid.
