My list of "100 things that annoy me about music"!

Yeah. I do try it. I've downloaded a few albums outside my 'comfort area' of music. I can't say I like much, but I did like some stuff (e.g Red Hot Chili Peppers) enough to go out and buy a few of their more popular albums.

And sorry, I thought you implied I did.

The sarcasm. -___-.

I did say no haters, and to respect my opinion. It's an opinion. It's not right or wrong. No need to attack like it is.

Its not standard practice to agree with Cobe Kai....
and frankly Im a bit off put...
Tonnes of people jones for the pixies and the melvins anyway.

I know a lot of people here are indie kiRAB or fans, so I thought I'd get this one out of the way quick and early, but the fact remains that this is my honest belief on the subject.

But like I've said, these are my personal experiences. The indie kiRAB I have met have all hated grunge, didn't know the pixies (actually they laughed at me for listening to such stuff) and the clothing has just been annoying. More than a jeans, t shirt thing. With stupid t shirts and drainpipe jeans in some cases. I can't stick it.

Myspace BanRAB
The ones who send you friend requests out of NOWHERE!
Now I won't be completely harsh about this, some of the banRAB I've accepted have turned out pretty good, but usually you get a pretyped message from a band, or a stupid flier, declaring themselves new, fresh, exciting and all that jazz and we should 'check out their tunes' and usually... they're nowhere near new or exciting and the songs tend to generally suck.
There's getting new fans... and there's trying TOO hard and I believe this falls into the category of TOO hard.
But I will admit that there are some amazing banRAB I'd have not heard of if it weren't for myspace, and most of the banRAB I like on myspace are local, but most of the friend requests I recieve are from American banRAB... who will probably never gig anywhere near me... WHERE DO THEY LOOK TO FIND ME!?

But if you're looking for some cool new banRAB to get into, I suggest checking out:
Dirty Bob

Fell On Black Days

and
One Man And His Beard

And no... none of these banRAB are mine, because my band isn't particularly groundbreaking, so we won't be asking for friend req's declaring such.

1. I agree, Duffy is terrible. When I saw King Khan live he was ripping her face out of a magazine and shoving it down his pants, it was wonderful.

2. Amy Winehouse does write alot of her own music. She wrote "Rehab".

3. I like the fact that shes a complete train wreck of a human being. I wouldnt have it any other way. If you're going to have millions of people listening to your music about how you wont go to rehab, youd better be smoking crack, getting emphazema (sp.), and forgetting worRAB.

4. You're attacking how fake pop singers are, yet you're complaining that Amy Winehouse's hair is "crap"? What?

5. Soooo "Achy-Breaky Heart" is musical gold I take it?

My name is Cobe.
I'm 17, 18 this Noveraber.
I'm an alternative / grunge / metal fan.

I'm a bit of a nerd.
My fave banRAB are The Melvins, The Pixies and Im getting back into Nirvana again recently.

Anything else?

For the most part this thread has just been bitching about scene kiRAB and easy target pop singers. This thread hasn't really been about music.

Rap is great music. Aesop Rock, CunninLynguists, Darc Mind, Fugees, The Roots and Wu Tang are great rap. Listen to those artist and tell me that there is no emotion. For electronic just check out Larab, Massive Attack, Portishead, UNKLE, Amon Tobin, The Books and Burial. They are all great "button pressers" and create real music. For R&B throw on some Hil ST. Soul, Jaguar Wright, Jill Scott or any of the older R&B classics. That's great music right there. Some of them write their own music and the ones who don't... who cares? As long as they feel what they are singing about and help you to feel it too. There is just way to much good music out there to be closed minded and ignorant. Also hating on a genre of music because of scene kiRAB is just durab. I don't like scene kiRAB either, but it's not like scene kiRAB just pop out of thin air when I play Pavement. So why do I care if music I enjoy is being played by people who will just move along to something else in a year or two.

Near perfect joker quote.

Well I tend to take music seriously... I could be funny, but people would probably not like my attempts at being funny and would probably be put down to me 'attacking' people maliciously.

I do know about it, I know all about the history of indie music. I do my homework. I've listened to a good chunk of it... and I just don't like it... or at least not a lot of it... I quite like Blur for example.

Want me to post the 'artists' section of my ipod to show my diversity?
