My koi fish have dissapeared?

I had 2 koi fish that are about the size of my hand, Ive had then for like 8 months and in this past week both have disappeared from their pond. The pond is pretty deep and big, what do you think would be their best cause of disappearance? What animal might have hunted them?

Possibly a cat or a raccoon. Maybe even a person took them.

The criminal could be:
• a raccoon
• a cat
• maybe a opossum
• I kind of doubt that a coyote would eat a fish...

That sucks! Koi and other pond fish are susceptible to cats, coons, and birds, that I know of for certain. I've read that one way to prevent this is to be sure that your pond has overhangs (such as rocks extending from the bank over the water) for the fish to hide under, or trees that block view of the pond from the sky.

Same happened to me. A stray cat was my culprit. Someone told me that raccoons will take them too.

If they were outside in a pond than a bird came and ate it.
