I got a kitten and she has been let outdoors about a month ago, however no matter how hard we try she will not go for the toilet outside, she keeps coming back inside and peeing on the litterbox. HelPPP????
Well for everyone who said whats wrong her using the litter box, its because she always misses it... so it goes on the floor :( Also.. it can get quite smelly. hahaha. My other cat goes outside, and its just a nuisanse having a littertray. There is a cat flap that she uses, and I live in the countryside :D

At least she is using the litter box ;-) but she is still way young and i wouldn't let her outside by herself and would go with her outside to watch and make sure she is ok, she is pretty small and could get stuck some where or wander off... when she is older she will go out doors...

Cats get nervous when they have to use the bathroom because it makes them vulnerable. It's not wonder she'd rather come inside, where she feels safer.

Once some cats get used to a nice clean litterbox they can never be persuaded to go outside. You can try placing the litterbox where you would prefer the cat to go and remove it once she gets the idea. That's about all I can suggest.
My cat is a trifle less discriminating. We have a huge lawn next to our property and she does her business right in the middle of it. It's clay soil so she doesn't even try to bury it and leaves it for us to pick up.

Help?

That's normal.
Most cats don't like to be outdoors. It's a common misconception that all cats just want to live outside, which is one of the main reasons for so much neglect and mistreatment.

Please just keep your cat inside.

does she have access outdoors by herself? (like a pet door) if so, try using a litter box and move it gradually closer and closer to the door and then eventually put it outside.. once its out there for a bit take it away.. thats what i did with my cat and she goes outside she's never had an accident!

cats/kittens are indoor animals for you're information.
kittens are especially known for climbing in car engines getting stuck in their and being killed from the heat, sooner or later if your cat isn't spayed she'll become pregnant, killed, stolen,or brought to a shelter. going in a litter box isn't a bad thing going on it is, just potty train her jeez.
