My kid won't eat anymore...?

my son was like that sometimes what i found was good is i always gave him his own spoon and he loved that. actually i still give him his own spoon. also that is the age i started letting him have the very soft finger foods. things like the disolveable gerber puffs or the rice rusk may be something you wanna try as he would be able to feed himself. i always had that issue with my son he has always wanted to be very independant. i have a pic of him at 5 months where he was tryin to feed himself with a spoon. he is a year and still hasnt mastered the spoon but does mostly eat finger foods of whatever we are eating.

My almost-six-month-old was VERY interested in food this past month--to the point where he was throwing mini "tantrums" whenever we ate around him and he couldn't get ahold of the bowl. He got his first taste of rice cereal on Thursday and loved it. He did well the next two nights, as well. Now, though he has been throwing a fit about sitting in his high chair---I even tried flipping it so it turns into the "big kids" chair instead of the reclined part for the six month old. Last night we tried eating in my lap and he wanted no part of it. He'd cry til the spoon touched his lips, then eat it, then cry imediately afterward. This lasted several bites until he grabbed the bowl and dumped it all over both of us! I don't understand how something can be so great the first three nights, and suddenly become so awful. The food temperatures have been the same--not too hot. Not sure how to proceed from here.
