My K2 Zed Comp mountain bike got stolen!?

Soo my bike got stolen thats worth $400+ it was on sale. I called the police and told them everything they took down information and asked for a serial number, I dont have it. I found my recipt from Sport Check but i dont know where the serial number is. Where can i find it?
 
Now you will know to always register your bike with the Nationalbikeregistry.com! Since the bike is gone and the serial # went with it and you obviously purchased a bike from a retailer that doesnt even have it on file (my store does) you are out of luck! Go buy another one!
