I drive a 1997 Jeep Wrangler. I was off roading over the weekend, and went through a huge mud puddle, when i was half way in, my car just shut off. I have a snorkel and the water wasn't over the hood, it was up to the bottom of my doors. We left it in the puddle so we could walk to the nearest gas station (2 hrs) when we came back, we winched it out and water was pouring out of my tailpipe and a steady stream was coming out of my muffler for at least 15-20 mins. My Jeep wont start,it makes the normal starting noise, but it wont turn over. I left it in the mountains over night, hoping it would dry out, and came back in the morning, and it still wont start. what could have happened to make my jeep stop in mid mud puddle? why wont it start now? thanks so much!
