Most likely you'll need a higher CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) battery. Explain your issue to a local parts store and they'll be able to look up other battery options for you jeep. Don't buy the cheapest battery, a cheap battery is just that. Also a faulty starter can compound this issue, many auto part stores can load test your starting/charging system to find a fault. And they almost all do this for free.

I bought a brand new battery, and it still has trouble. some times it doesn't even sound like its trying to turn over. other times it sounds like the battery is dead. i figure the cold hurts the battery in the mornings. but what else should be checked? and should i get an engine block heater?
