my idea for a horror film

hi everyone, i was at tescos the other day with my mum and i had an idea for a horrror film lol, here goes :


it's set in a supermarket, a girl is rushing around on christmas eve trying to pick up some food for her mum the next day. tescos is shutting early so the girl has to beg the sercurity guard to let her in. once shes finished she tries to exit but the guard is gone and the shutters are locked. she comes across the sercurity guard who has been murdered.


it then turns into a cat and mouse chase kind of film as she tries to survive a brutal scary killer.
we see her go into all the storage


the main store bit is very eery and empty.


any comments on it lol ? please don't be horrible coz i know its not that good lol

I thought that would be a good set for a film but I was thinking of a more ikea set up, my mind gets Bored in ikea!:D Are you going to make it as a indie film? :D
 
maybe we could do it in B&Q because the tools and products in there would make for awesome weapons to add to the action of the movie.

Boopy traps with hose pipes, hacksaws, spades and clippers... great stuff.

We could also get part sponsored by B&Q for product placement :D
 
the whole "cat and mouse" idea has been done to death, so you'd have to think of a good twist on the theme to make it original and marketable.

maybe she finRAB out that it wasn't a random act, the killer actually planned to trap her in the store ??

she finRAB out that she's connected to the killer in some way.

and you'd also need a plot device that gives an impending sense of doom - maybe something simple like the store being rigged to blow, or something subtle like she's been given a slow acting poison.

(you may have worked out that I write scripts as a bit of a hobby;) )
 
omg thanks, they are really good ideas. i do agree that we need a twist, the idea that she is somehow connected to the killer is good.

have you got any other ideas about a twist ?

maybe she knows the killer because she worked with him and he tried to ask her out and she brushed him off?

maybe she had an affair with him years previously and brushed him off and he's held a grudge ever since?

you could have her poisoned as well because she could then hallucinate over time, which leaves you scope to have weird and scary things happening - think of the grudge for ideas.

if you could get a combination of the grudge and saw you might be on to a winner.
 
The security guard could be a ghost that was killed by her criminal father in a botched robbery attempt.
So to get revenge he comes back from the dead and tries to kill the daugther.
 
it could be that in her youth she stole some sweets from tescos, and now the store is acting against her, seeking revenge :D
 
It sounRAB like the first episode of the Christopher Ecclestone Dr Who, where Rose was locked in the basement of the department store and got pursued my evil shop dummies.
