Hi,
my name is teresa, and my husband is going to be 58 in dec, he has smoked his whole life, bascially 40 years, about 2 packs a day, and the local er did a scan of his chest and found a spot on his lung, and several nodules on the left left, spot is on his right. He also has been coughing up blood for about a year, and he just told me!! He also has unexplained back pain in his right side for a year also, the dr said it was arthritis, backed up colon, and a pulled muscle as he drives truck, but after all those diagnosis's, he still has severe pain and has to take motrin everynight because the pain is so bad, he will not quit smoking, and the er doctor told him to go back to his regular doctor and have more tests run so we can find out about the spot and nodules or tumors on his left lung, he refuses to go since we already went to er, he is scared, i know it, so am i, and he is not himself, he is naturally thin, but looks like hes lost more weight and looks uhealthly thin, he takes off his belt and has to hold up his pants with his hands, he cant wait to get home and go to sleep, he says he takes away his pain, i am afraid it might be lung cancer, or early symptoms, the er doctor talked to me after he went to give her a urine sample, and she said it looks like the early warning symptoms of lung cancer, especially the coughing up of blood, from the sputum, someitmes in his sleep he is all sweaty and gasps for breath or air, and he wheezes. If anyone can offer info or share, would be grateful, am praying i can get him back to a different doctor, the said we need to go to find out what stage it is or wher eit lies for now, i am only 48, and have 2 children with him, 18, and 23, have been married 12 years and still goofy in love with him, please help!!
