My husband wants to name our baby the same name as a horror icon?

I am 23 yrs old and I married my husband 3 years ago. He is 32 and has 2 sons from a previous marriage. We are expecting our first baby together and it will be his 1st daughter. He really wants to name her Samara and thats the girl from the movie The Rings name. Even before I got pregnant hes always said he loves that name and he would name his daughter that. He said hes not naming her after the character but its his favorite girl name. He also says its a perfect name for a biracial girl (he is black and Im white). I actually like the name itself but everytime I hear it I think of the Ring girl. Should I just stop looking into it so much and let him get his way?
 
If you think that people will recognize the name from Lord of the Rings then you might want to think about it, but I think it's a great name and people won't make the connection. I think it's a beautiful name and I agree its a great biracial girl name. My honest opinion...you should go with it. :)
