hermaphrodites!!!? Me and hubby have a garden filled with beautiful flowers and snails. Yes, beautiful snails, not pest slugs. Looking at the beautiful snails is like looking at arts for me. I love the colorful snails, and they give the garden personality. My husband didn't mind them until two days ago, when he found out that they were hermaphrodites. He told me that all land snails and slugs are hermaphrodites, and that hermaphrodites are a product of sin, and they have no rights to live, because they are polluting the earth. He told me that he would get rid of those snails with poison, and he does not want to hear any protests from me. We are religious people and we are not into the gay lifestyle, but I seriously love those snails. I have felt sad ever since he told me he would kill them. Is it a weird reaction? Am I over reacting?
I think it is a bit cruel to start hating a whole species because they are hermaphrodites. Are they really hermaphrodites? Is it possible that it is just something he says because he wants to get rid of them?
