My husband turns 60 in Sept and will begin drawing his retirement from his 22...

...yrs in the Air National Guard.? We have completed all of our paperwork and my question is this...He will turn 60 on Sept 4.....how long after this will he actually start getting his monthly deposit for his retirement? Some say it should begin immediately if all paperwork is in order...has anyone gone thru this process? Thanks
