Forget marriage counselling - any man who mistreats women is not a good man.
He needs some sort of counselling himself, but unfortunately people like this rarely ever change their ways, especially if they are as full-on as you describe.
Plenty of people will make excuses for this type of behaviour, but at the end of the day anyone who rapes, beats and treats anyone, let alone a woman, like sh*t is not good and needs help.
Tell HIM to seek some help / counselling, leave him, and find someone who treats you right.
