immobilize my vehicle? We live in michigan and the car is in my name. I know its stupid, I only let him drive to work and that's is. Well he decided to have a few drinks and said he didn't realize he was drunk until he started driving. Anyway he got in a minor fender bender and of course he got arrested and charged with dwls and an owi. He went to the hospital for a blood test. They let him go the next day and he goes to court. Should he get a lawyer or plead guilty? This is his first OWI, so will he serve jail time or get severe fines and have community service. I am having a baby in a few weeks and we want to know what's the best way to avoid jail time? We are willing to do whatever they say. We don't know if we should get a lawyer or just admit to it right away. Please Help!
