...grandfather, Charles...? If it's a little girl, I'd love to use the feminine 'Charlotte'. But I can't figure out what names go well with Charlotte. Any suggestions using Charlotte as a first or middle name? Thanks!

It would somewhat depend on the last name, but I think any of these sound nice.

By the way, I absolutely LOVE that you are using Charlotte and not Charlie for a girl. I think Charlie sounds ridiculous as a girl's name!

Firstly I think the idea of naming your child after his grandfather is adorable, very sweet and noble. Charles is a good strong classic name and Charlie is a cute nickname. Charlotte I prefer to Charles no offensive, it's such a beautiful classical name that ages well Lottie is a cute nickname too.

You can use on of your mother's or grandmother's middle name - sometimes the girl gets the mother's maiden name as a middle name - this way her family name will continue.
