i am 19 weeks pregnant with (probably) a little boy. his first name will be Ash, and his middle name will either be Vincent (me) or Maximus (my husband). i don't mind the name Maximus, but it seems a bit cocky to me. any opinions?
Ashley was actually originally a male name. and i love Ash because it's the name of the character Bruce Campbell plays in the Evil Dead movies.

Ash sounds very girly. As if it were short for Ashley.

Maximus is cool, but will be shorted to Max.

Maximous sounds latin, vincent sounds more common. Maximus is more original but vincent is more common. You can also give people two middle names (like me). Ash Vincent Maximus sounds good, it translates in to "to conquer all (or the most)" which is kinda cool.

I think Maximus is an awesome name. Make that your first name. It is such a masculine name if you pair it with Ash it is like a gender confused name. Maximus is extremely masculine and Ash is feminine.
