im getting a new horse on loan and she is the perfect pony - jumps amazingly, not too fast, great temperament except when ever im riding her in the school she gets very anxious near the gate.
she stops and shakes her head and then walks backwards. a girl who was on her before had the same problem and the horse reared and she fell off.
i was wondering if there is anything i could do to help her overcome this. ive tried walking her past it and everything. would possibly a small tap on the shoulder encourage her?
