My honda civic wont start?

Its a 93 honda civic and its uses a chip (and the key) to start it...today my boyfriend put another chip from a different honda civic in it to see if it would also work and after that it wont start...i dont know if this has anything to do with it but now it wont start.it doesnt make any noises when we try to start it...also we already got a jump so its not the battery! If anyone has any idea of what it can be please let me know kuz for now we are stuck
