my honda civic 1999 distributor broke down?

i have honda civic 1999 i had to change the distributor i bought scond hand one my electration fitted in for me but after one day the destributor gone and i dont know what can case this broblem is it because its used one or there is something else behind thise thanks
 
So, you had a distributor go bad on you, bought a new one, had someone install it and now the new one is acting like crap?

My guess is the new one wasn't installed correctly, whether it be the firing order or the timing is now all jacked up, you should take it in to get looked at again, I'd go to a different shop.
 
Maybe the distributor isn't the problem. It's impossible to tell without seeing the car, especially as you had a second hand replacement fitted. They may both be faulty.
