my honda blackbird has stopped firing up?

it was running fine i filled up with fuel half mile later it was dead at side of the road flat battery i've fully charged battery after 2 hours of pushing bike home, put in fully charged battery. it turns over but doesnt fire up till the battery was flat again 1998 52000 miles on it, could it be the starter motor ? any help would be good
