My home laptop with Vista play a windows media file as audio when my work laptop

with XP Plays it as video.? I have a short windows media player file that someone sent me over aol messenger and when I open it at home on my laptop with vista it plays as an audio file but at work the video works correctly. My work has XP and an older version of windows media player. Whats the problem here??
