my heater on my ford doesnt really heat up what do i change?

when i set it to max on defrost it only feels like a fan, when i am in another vehicle it is hotter in theirs whens its lower
it feels the same with all othe rmodes sorta like a fan it doesnt warm up too much but its decent enough, but it takes too long to warm up
 
First off if llet the car fully warm up, if it still isn't warm or takes tears to warm up change the thermostat, it controls coolant flow to the radiator and it is probably stuck open. Check coolant level couldn't hurt as well. Last but not least if the above suggestions are not the problem then it sounds like your heater core has some build up or slight blockage that either restricts coolant flow into the heater or heat exchange between the pipes and the surronding air.
