my heat won't turn off in my 91 jeep cherokee?

If I turn the lever to cold and off. She still emits heat thru the defroster. The defroster mode is the only thing that works,nothing changes when i move to heat or vent.It constantly blows hot air out of the defrost vents
 
If it is still blowing in the off position then your lever and/or cable is disconnected or broke. remove the bezel, radio, control unit and you should be able to see it. This is a mechanical problem not an electrical one.
