my headset broke on xbox live D:?

i can talk in my headset but i cant hear anything out of it. it plays through my tv but not the headset. and the question i want to know is does a wireless head set break as easliy as a wired head set on xbox? and second, should i buy a new wired headset or a new wireless headset?
 
Wired headset are way better than wireless for a couple of reasons. The wireless headset is too unreliable and has alot of trouble connecting and it randomly disconnects. Go with a new wired headset
 
Well first to check settings and seeing if the game has it on voice through tv i accidentaly did that once and couldent find out what was going on till i checked

but worse comes to worse your gona need to buy a new mic.
theres a couple of things to consider though

Wireless pros: if you have this one it help get the cord out of the way and its easier to maneuver around with and no wires get bent and frayed after a while

Cons: you do have a limited time to talk being that it runs on a battery and its a little small so its easier to lose if your not carefull

Wired pros: easy to put on easy to use and never runs out of batery
and i think it has a better feel to it

wired cons: wires get bent and frayed after a long period of use
and might break but i have had mine for 3 years still works
another con though is that the foam parts tend to wear and tear and sometimes fall off although easily put back on not much of a fuss but its there
