I may be wrong, however, I believe the 37 gig is measured before anything is on the playstation, including any software. All of the software that comes pre-loaded into the playstation (like, your menu screen, and its functions) takes up memory, too.
...please make it sensible? i decided to restore my ps3 and found out that the memory should be 37 not 31 gig so what i did was reformat my hdd but still the same thing happened it is still 31 gig not 37 gig why did this happen is this normal or what please badly need your help thank you
