My hamster is getting bold spots, why?

Its probably because its warm. If an animal has fur it's usually for protection on the cold. If its warm, it sheds its skin. Another possibility is it's sick or got its fur stuck somewhere.
 
it's well known that hamsters get a little more courageous over time.
sadly the same way that curiosity killed the cat, boldness may kill your hamster but he should be fine as long as he is just going out of his cage for a cigarette and not joining a fight club or something.
