my GSM Nokia N82 doesn't send txt messages to non-gsm phones!

Hi all,

I reside in Canada and got this phone from Europe nd was so excited about its Carl Zeiss 5MP lens (which is almost the only good thing about the phone lol)
unfortunately though it's pretty selective when it comes to sending text messages. clients of phone companies who run on CDMA don't receive my texts! It's so annoying to the point that I'm considering getting another phone!
do you have any idea as to how to fix the issue?

hi, can you call someone when using the phone N82? if you can do it, it shouldn't be the phone problem, ask your supplier.
 
yes I can make calls. The issue is only with texting!
I did ask my supplier, but they very conveniently refuse to troubleshoot the problem since it's not a phone they sell.
