My G1 turns off when i put it in my pants pocket.

mine does the same thing... it's turned off 3 times today and it's really zoning me out! i can only turn it back on if i connect to a charger or take the battery out. i'm gonna call t-mo n get another one shipped, but for some reason, i doubt this is gonna solve the problem...

Have you tried a factory reset?

I've had this same problem too and suspected the battery was loose so I tapped the back and it turned off. I followed what one of the users recommended by placing a napkin between the battery and the shell, except i placed a dollar bill, and sure enough the phone wouldn't turn off anymore. Thanks

Question, if I replace the whole housing and buy a new battery would it solve the problem?
