My G1 purged all text messages

I was going thrugh my texts, phone freezed for a second then it cleared all text messages stored on the phone, its like it reset itself, is there a way to restore those texts? are they usualy stored in a file or a folder in the phone?
I have so much informeation stored in these messages, its really a disaster if I lose them
can somebody help!

From what I know, there is no way to recover those messages. Not unless you used some kind of back-up app. So hopefully you did, if not, your out of luck.
 
Yep - they're gone unless you have a suitable spare flash memory piggyback driver IC, some forensic software, and haven't used the Messaging app since you lost your messages.

The app I use is My Backup Pro. It backs up just about everything on your phone.
