My friends complain that I don't spend time with them, but I have other priorities.

What do I do? Basically, I've become a hardworking, committed student over the past 2 years. I come back from school, relax for a while, do my homework, and try to revise as much as I can.
I start my studies like around 5pm. If my friends want to hang out after school for like half an hour, i'm fine with that. However, they want to START the chilling at 5pm...and normally it can go on for 2-4 hours. Once I go, it will be hard to leave them...and my entire study session would have become obsolete. If I go once, i'm afraid it will become a habit (having fun can be addictive!). Also, as we are getting older, my friends want to gradually hang out much later into the night.

What should I do? They're already spreading crap like "oh what's wrong with her..she's become messed up..she does nothing but study". I miss those good old days when we were little girls and we were only allowed to hang out with friends for a very limited time and had to come back early.
