my friend and i have been arguing about the middle name that i have chosen

for my unborn baby anyone else? I told my friend that I want my daughter's middle name to be pronounced me kella and she is insisting that there is no such pronunciation. how can she tell me how to pronounce the middle name that i have chosen for my daughter. I want to spell it differently like meekaela or micquella because i want it to be pronounced differently then makayla which she insists on pronouncing it as.
 
Maikeela, Miquella, Mikaelah, Mekeelah. I like Maikia, or Makaia but its a totally different name lolll. But spelling the name me kella I think looks weird. The name is pretty how you want to pronounce it but the spelling is no good in my opinion.
 
All I can say is thank the fictitious babby jesus that this is her middle name and not her first.
Although I am kinda dreading what the first will be. You can't get much worse than Micquella though, right??
 
its your baby and it doesn't even matter that much, she wont be calling your baby by her full name will she? in any case its your child's name so she should respect that. How about spelling it Mykella?
 
I don't like names that look as though they were made up on the spot two weeks ago, nor names that require pronunciation guides for native speakers. Sorry.

How about Michaela, which is the name you're clearly influenced by?

Tell her that the baby is ur's and not her's and that u want it pronounced me kella, and not Makayla, and that if she doens't like it, then tough. It may sound harsh but if she's not getting it with u being nice about it, be firm about it, and maybe that'll work, and if she keeps saying stuff about it, ignore her and maybe she'll get a clue. I hate it when people, even friends and family, tell me what i should or shouldn't or can and can't do with my child, when i didn't ask for their opinion and adivce, lol, it's so annoying. It's like this is my child and not urs, so just leave it be already.

I personally would spell it MeKella, if that's how i wanted to pronounce it, but that's just me and a friendly suggestion, and one i don't care if u take or not lol, :D.
